Farmula Grain Prix Update 1.06
Howdy! xD
Sooooo it's been a looong week but here we are again upgrading the ol' farm
Lots new -sorry no multiplayer yet -it's in the works though! just trying to make the base game as solid as I can first! I also have new menus and achievement trophy things in the works -made them to look like old retro racing games with farm puns galore xD -if you're curious you can get a sneak peak on my twitter. I haven' t thoroughly tested this build -must sleep but will give it a test play tomorrow and will patch any major bugs if I find any (or if you do let me know!)
Also, feel free to let me know if you think the game is too hard or too easy as it is currently -I'm still making adjustments but it's more challenging in this version (maybe too challenging -not sure haven't had time to play it much yet!)
Anyway a lot in this new build -hope you enjoy!
- track cards/slots: this is one I've been really looking forward to adding but didn't have time during the jam so it's been waiting patiently on the ol to do list -these shop cards let you place items on the track to assist you -so many possibilities here -only a few cards so far but have a lot of ideas for this!
track cards: nitro pads and speed arrows - added nitro fill-ups similar to fzero charge strips and speed arrows that temporarily boost your speed above your max speed. Tried making the arrows push you in their direction to use for tight corners but it was causing a lot of unintended issues so decided to just let them boost your speed without directional influence
teleporter cards! really excited about these -sooooo much potential for these -i think these will be really fun to create chaos in the upcoming multiplayer modes!
particles bugs fixed
jump/hopping fixed (experimental feature q-key lets you hop don't know if i'm going to keep this or not thought it might be fun to jump over obstacles -not sure -opinions?)
some random polishing like shadows scale with distance from ground now
Pitstop Crop Market selling area now allows you to adjust the amount of your stored harvest you want to sell -also made it so you can press and hold on the +/- arrows to adjust the amount faster
Fixed a really stupid bug where the logging of the ring challenge and beating the track ghost were mixed up -sorry about that!
more small adjustments to driving physics -now a bit easier to control but benefits from skilled drifting on difficult turns
fishing added to harvester << this will matter more later but for classic mode its just a fun little bonus to your harvest (in case anyone cares: no pixel fish are harmed -even went as far as temporarily deactivating them instead of destroying them when caught because...well... i like the fishies and apparently I'm a dork ^_^)
all previous levels updated with new track card slotscheckpoints more noticeable
new castley level (not finished yet but thought it'd be more fun to include it with this update)
new music for new level (also not finished but blah blah previous statement)
new birds! birds will fly in and eat your seeds and crops unless you shoo them away in time
scarecrow track card -repels crows about 4 field blocks in all directions
