Inspired by one of my all time favorite puzzle games Panel De Pon  (Puzzle League Series)  this game uses math to make matches by combining two blocks that add up to 10.  

Controls:

Move Cursor: WASD or Arrow Keys or Gamepad
Swap Cursor: Space Bar, X, or Gamepad button 1 ( Xbox "A" button)
Drop Blocks:  Z key or Gamepad Left shoulder button

Tips:

2 numbers adding up to 10 makes a match
Add numbers of the same color for bonus points
Get multiple 10's at once and chain together combos for big points
Don't let the blocks reach the top or it's game over

Update:

  • Known bugs fixed buuuut I'm sure we'll find more...
  • Better balancing for both position and numbers of new blocks
  • Tougher difficulty curve!
  • New Title Screen (early development)
  • Graphical Improvements
  • Drop Blocks Key no longer uses shift key -if you have a preferred key(s) let me know in the comments
  • Added frozen blocks
  • Combos nolonger have extended freeze time
  • new tough blocks that take 2 hits

Pretty satisfying! Although it remain easy to smash buttons at random and get combos. At some points the block were falling too fast for me, so it became the only viable strategy. :p But it was still fun! And the visuals and sounds are all really clean. Special mention for the alien on the side, it's the kind of polishing that gives a nice identity to the game!

Fun game! Felt pretty intense at first, but after I got the hang of it I think I outpaced the skill curve and it got kinda tedious so I just quit at 32000 points.  I think it should just continue to get harder until you lose.  Also a random idea: blocks that have multiple "lives" so you have to pair them multiple times to get rid of them

Also I hear ya on the skill curve -fixed that too -much more challenging now! -you can still achieve a score that high but it won't be easy! xD

I really like the new update! It really makes the game feel satisfying, although the really long pause when scoring makes playing for longer periods of time annoying and easy. I never found myself filling up the board because the game was practically paused whenever I wanted, allowing me to move pieces all the way across the board without anything moving.

Thank you!!  And I agree -way too much freeze times -was intended to only happen on combo chains but feels superfluous in this game so took your advice and scrapped it from combos but did add freeze blocks that you can match to freeze the board.  Anyway, thank you for the helpful feedback! :D

Really fun concept!! I found after a while I was left with a lot of small numbers I couldn’t do much with, but maybe that’s on me :)

Thank you!!!  It was made for a jam in a rush so there was a lot of jank -people were saying the same thing in the jam comments so I made sure to include better balancing in this new update and it definitely helped a lot without making it too easy (hopefully!) :D
